Interesting. How do you assess when someone should be purged? Is it zero open emails for the year? How would it compare to someone who opens the email but closes it after a few seconds? I would assume that those people also may not take the newsletter seriously?

I may be overthinking it😂

I also see newsletter operators sending a you've been booted out email BUT no hard feelings, here's a link to re-subscribe. How has the reaction been to such emails? Do people re-subscribe?

That's fair but what if they were to open it, say, once a month (assuming that it's a daily newsletter)? I wonder if there's a rationale behind this - i.e., how frequently does a user have to open the email in order to NOT get booted?

Having subscribed to many newsletters, I do wonder whether purging inactive subscribers is a good strategy. Sometimes they may not have the bandwidth to open the emails BUT they could still be opening it at certain times - maybe one out of 5 emails sent out?

Strange given the good relationship he had with Panama back in 2017:

Hmmm....have the rates to American ships been raised so high since? Or has one of the loonies of the inner circle found a nice far-right soundbite here to stir up the rage?

We both fell for the same scam of the allure of being "content creators"? I think someone forgot to send us the real memo....?

Shamefully reposted after seeing this post. Only saw it after you followed me. Still scratching my head as to why.

That's some valuable information in there. Thanks for sharing.

How could they possible smell the aftershave? Or are you mistaking these "pretty women" for bots?

How would you define young? And also...what about verification? How could you determine if someone was younger than you. For those with profile pictures, it is not clear if this is a current picture OR an attempt at catfishing :) I'm setting a slightly lower goal - meeting intelligent, fun people.

I wonder....can the rich people who are dicks also be ones that are incredibly generous? 🤨

Worst comes to worse, I'm sold with the following words from the article:

Bluesky seems to be following TikTok's early growth strategy — make everyone famous. Remember when you could post a random 10-second video on TikTok and rack up thousands of views overnight?
December 4, 2024 at 2:57 PM
I totally agree. But, I also think that people are leaving by the boat-load as the audience demographics changes - and with it, the content. Bluesky seems to be a great alternative to what Twitter was back in the good old days. Question is: Is there an audience TODAY for the Twitter of the past?

Anything that has Elon's hands on it is a NEGATIVE

That's how I would have thought it should be approached. But then I start to see all those "copywriters" (shit / brag) post and harp on about how there is a formula behind it. 🤨
December 3, 2024 at 4:07 PM
Hmmm....that's not fair. I don't think you would have gained much traction even on the early days of Twitter. Whatever happened to that mantra of slow and steady wins the race? It's preached everywhere when building anything - even a YT account
