Yeah ads are in a wild state right now across the board. Website content must be at most PG13 rated but ads are basically softcore.
My advice, get a pihole or a router with built in ad and tracker blocker capabilities. It won't block everything but it certainly cuts down on things.

Looks rad, just picked it up. It's probably gonna collect a bit of dust until after summer finals, but definitely gonna be on my list of games for this year.
