October 15, 2025 at 3:19 AM
cool, windows 10 is dead

...except this one specific version of windows 10 (ltsc) that continues to live until 2032.

....feel free to switch over if you'd like 🙃

Ah, that's a gem.

Apparently running disk defrag on Millennium tends to be very buggy at times.

this issue was patched at the cost of doing some system modifications, who would've thought!

So Windows Me is 25 years old today huh?

Too bad I haven't experienced Millennium Edition myself (as my first OS I used was 2000 and moved to XP years later), this should be a great excuse to finally work on a Windows Me related video instead of it sitting on the backburner for months.

So, you're saying my perfectly good computer that doesn't support Secure Boot/TPM is considered obsolete, just because they wants to thwart cheaters with such requirements, as if kernel-level AC isn't enough?

Talk about planned obsolescence, eh?

Call of Duty’s PC anti-cheat will require Secure Boot on Windows
Activision is beginning to add support for the features in a “phased rollout.”

how funny.

your microsoft store app is considered an outdated browser now.
May 20, 2025 at 4:43 PM
ok since i'm talking about Skype so much, here's another thing I did to pass the time.

replaced the new sounds with the old ones that I am very used to hearing, rather than the new ones that is also used in Teams for some reason.

microsoft: say goodbye to skype on may 5th

us: in a skype group vc for over 24 hours- oh hello may 6th!

Been testing out the new Start menu design for Windows 11, which in my opinion, it's a much better Start and this should've been the design when Windows 11 came out, oh well.

More details coming soon to my blog.

It's pretty remarkable that the default Microsoft IIS image is still the same as seen in Windows 8.

Now, will Microsoft update it to match Windows 11's design language? Probably not.

I'll be shocked if they do updating it.

Here's a little fun fact about my account!

I originally had a second account (@technologicalbyte.bsky.social) which was intended to prevent impersonations, but thanks to an update, I was able to delete that account and reserve the original handle!

Just wish for the original to be redirected here.

this is pretty cool that there's now a 299 character limit for posts or whatever you call these things, i can't say tweet because this isnt twitter after all. anyways if you cannot tell, this post is exactly 299 characters long, if you want proof, copy this text from this post and see for yourself.

Heard Microsoft revamping the stop error screen (BSOD) in the latest Windows 11 beta build.

Now, the million question, will it fix this weird artifacts both 10/11 experiences, like corrupted letters, burn-ins, etc?

or like what happened to me years back. Just got Y, just Y.
March 28, 2025 at 9:20 PM
Ah yes, CarPoint. A thing that doesn't exist anymore.

CarPoint was part of MSN where people could buy cars from Microsoft.

Still here and probably will continue to exist for decades.

Awesome cumulative update for Windows 11, Microsoft. An update that uninstalls Copilot? Yes, please!

How much would I bet someone did this intentionally and wasn't a "bug"?
