Oh sure, they'll spit in the eye of fiction's most carefully crafted mythos in Rings of Power, but James Bond must be kept PURE

I'll just be interested to have a vaguely-normal Linux environment on a VR headset that I can do whatever with.
I'm getting excited for this thing for a lot of the reasons Apple wanted me to be excited for their thing.

It was really weird the way they inserted that Biden filler arc right when things were getting juicy.

Yup, just about. He looks like the sort to have forgone the T-shirt, but 'tis a quibble

I remember Outer Worlds as being a game where you could see precisely where the money ran out. Does the dlc smooth that over?

Ah yes, the last election that went vaguely normally.

Off the top of my head: code completion for natural language. You type in "the nearest decent pizza place is" or and the model offers three ways to complete the sentence.

The entire "instant messaging" paradigm is the original sin here. It anthropomorphizes the system in a way that will always have harmful side-effects.
It's not even necessary. There are so many other ways you could frame an LLM that wouldn't make folks think there's a little man in your computer.

Oh yeah, back in the day if you drafted a mother with a baby, and she didn't have a weapon to hand, she'd use the object she already had equipped.

Between this and the mothers using their babies as bludgeoning weapons, the dwarven parent/child dynamic is very fraught.

Oh nice, I was in the mood for some escapist fantasy.

Some kid reading Wikipedia in 2200 AD: "hey, did you know that when they first invented mRNA biosculpting, they just used it to cure some kind of epidemic?"
And then he flutters away on his mRNA-given dragonfly wings.

Ok this is the first time I've ever had to look up an artist statement for a comic strip but it's honestly pretty enlightening. At least now I know it's supposed to be like that.

This is my first ever exposure to Alice, and I have no idea how to process this. The closest frame of reference I have is those weird webcomics from the early '00s where you were pretty sure the author had some kind of mental issue.
And this is syndicated to newspapers?
