Funny story, I didn’t check the news before checking BlueSky this time, so this vaguepost made me check the news to see “Oh hey, Water *is* Wet”

Every Tech Bro: “Imagine if we made this thing that everyone already knows about, and just do that but with inserting ourselves as a middleman to skim off some more of the money off the top and also make the poverty situation 10x worse.”

“So anyway, these lights demonstrate the importance of latent heat of vaporization…wait”

Though f’realz, assuming they’re Cycle indicators?

I will never to this day understand the obsession with *perfect* lawns. Even when they are well-maintained they look absolutely soulless, you don’t need this specific shitty kind of grass for erosion control or softness underfoot, and you spend a fortune to get next to nothing in return. Madness.

Now if they made a web browser that could only connect to things that haven’t been touched by “AI,” THAT I could get behind. But that would be helping the consumer stakeholders, not the shareholder.

One of the few universal truths about humans conversing in groups, is that if there is ever a medical condition mentioned that someone has, every single person who has a pet remedy they swear by will jump on the chance to give a “Have you tried [insert their remedy here]?” Response.

Nothing gets a Bostonian more riled up than the notion of a King. Same today as 250 years ago.

I love when it comes up because we’ve already reaped most of the benefits of flying cars with regular car infra, Bridges and tunnels exist. What is adding a 3rd dimension o travel for people to not pay enough attention to going to do for us? We’d have to strictly regulate the paths you can go anyway

It can and will get worse, he’s already mobilizing the military directly against the citizenry. We’re in a full fascist dictatorship trying to take over our country. This is *literally* how it happened in 1930s Germany.

We’re already in a civil war.

With that ultimatum given, He should call them up to defend the state against Trump, as clearly he’s the biggest threat the state of Illinois currently faces.

Depends. Is the Dungeon properly underground or just a part of a castle? If the former, is it large and filled with baddies or relatively small and sparse? Because my money is on the dragon since dungeons are inanimate, but if it is large and contains enough things to kill it, then the math changes.

Weird how thousands of innocent children die and there’s absolutely no outcry from them, and it gets instantly downplayed. One conservative talking head gets the same as the children and it’s instantly politicized beyond the scope of what happened.

To the writer of this article:

Europe, the continent where it is possible to go from your apartment in one building in one city in one country and visit your friend in their building in another city in another country, all without touching a single car, has fallen behind? Behind who?

The worst part, we’re now at the point where the whole Epstein thing is becoming a distraction from the dictatorial power grabs. It’s been ignored by them so long that it has now flipped its way around and while we shouldn’t “drop” it per se, we definitely need to not lose sight of what’s going on.

If the dem establishment wants to stop losing they need to back their most popular candidates who want the government (that they’re elected to btw) do something for the people who’re voting for them. They’re never going to win on the platform “Won’t someone think of the Billionaire’s portfolios?”

Ok? So if you remember that, why are you commenting about it under a post about Mamdani and Fateh? What relevance does a CIA backed Coup using convenient political forces in the middle east have with the campaigns being run by people with no similarities to that situation?
August 25, 2025 at 4:03 PM
Uhhhh I think you’re overlooking the whole “the CIA decided to back a coup to make iranian oil cheaper” (which they’ve admitted to doing) part of that situation lmfao.

They tried to cultivate an image of supporting minorities, and the second that became mildly inconvenient they jumped ship, forgetting that it’s why people paid more to not have to go to Wal-mart.

And they forgot that once you break people’s habits, you have to work much harder to get them back.

Not even to mention the fact that we can absolutely still have gas backups for heat in our homes for those concerned about frequent outages, just without the ridiculous degree of infrastructure dedicated to its distribution, leading to such high risks to health and safety. Propane tanks exist.

And most, if not all, are better options than a Tesla in the 2024 model year or newer, depending on what matters to you. Tesla has stagnated their development and still hasn’t solved their quality issues from a decade ago, relying instead on NDAs for warranty coverage and empty promises in FSD hype.
