I am a Product Manager at a large, tech-related company. I aim to use this profile for exploring technology and the ideas around it. Also I end up talking about politics a lot.

As much as I love his movies every time I see him interviewed it feels like this has all been some sort of make a wish situation.

I mean, if you tell the campus police about an assault on a child one of your players tells you about and they seem to just drop it, will you like, follow up?

I feel like the only way to really describe this time compared to decades ago is that it has become less acceptable for regular people to do racist things but more acceptable for the ultra-rich to just be openly racist.

Yeah I actually think this will be pretty interesting. Hawke is a very intense "the art of the craft!" guy and she honestly struck me as pretty insightful when you get her talking about the business side of things, so they might be able to pull something unusual from each other.

Okay, I think the only part of this post where I wasn't cooking is that 40% is WAY too low of a floor.

At least 40% of what this administration has done carries the implication of "we are not just okay with white collar crime, we actively encourage it!"

He's basically a real life version of Colin Farrell's character in Horrible Bosses. Just totally incapable of grasping the seriousness of his position, everything is another button mash on the game controller or performance piece.

I disagree, having lived in Cali for a year, they start too early there. I shouldn't have to risk missing the 1Q of a college game because I had a bit too much the night before, nor should the super bowl start hours before a typical dinner time.

One of the first hockey games I ever went to was @njdeviis.bsky.social vs The Islanders where, in the middle of a bench clearing brawl, Corey Schwab skated to the other end of the ice and started wailing on the other goalie. It was the game that made me want to be a hockey player 🤣.

Absolutely insane that it is very much possible this move could be what saves democracy.

I'm pretty certain this is a joke, but still it's kind of ironic how much AI doomer content from a jobs perspective seems to stem from the belief that nothing will ever be done any differently ever again whereas history proves that to be almost definitely not the case.

I know this is stretching the definition of white collar crime a bit, but still, transactionability and whatnot.
