Can any legal experts offer advice on this? If there is no legal imperative to recognise Israel, then perhaps, individually, we shouldn't.

This is incredibly hard to fathom. Despite achieving "Independance", 1/3 believe the E.U. is to blame for BrexShit's failures. It's like the cheating husband, who abandons the wife & kids to take up with his new partner, blaming his ex-wife for the failure of his new relationship!
