Are those individuals experts on at least one thing in your experience? Part of this could be due to the sheer number of technologies developers work with regularly. It’s simply impossible to be an expert on everything. Beyond that, selecting for openness makes absolute sense!

They are implicit, which makes it hard to tell where the interface is implemented, and how to implement it. A strange change in philosophy when the language dislikes implicit behavior in other areas like type conversions. I find it extremely difficult to follow but am still a Go noob.

Took me less than 2 days to switch over my desktop to being dual boot AND porting over my laptop to bring a Linux machine. It is SO worth it

The amount of time wasted because of “bus factor” is less than the time it would take for someone to get up to speed on your task if you WERE to get hit by a bus. It’s so annoying. Just trust me to take the task from end-to-end! I’ll even write docs and tests!!
