A limited piece that was part of the Pfaltzgraff Folk Art collection, this is one of my favorite Fall teapots. #Teapot #Pfaltzgraff

I am in-between therapists, because of insurance changes, but I found several free teachers on Insight Timer's app. There is a variety of subjects - #journaling, #meditation, #yoga - and teaching styles.

Do you have a favorite #self-care app?

Every one of us who have shown up at a support group or a therapy session are brave for speaking our truth and asking someone to walk along side of us. #TraumaSurvivor

I was at a protest on Saturday and someone wore this jacket. #Peace

Some days I feel like I am talking to a statue, just like Kermit.

The Silver-spotted Skippers were abundant, but camera-shy. This is a photo from thepetenthusiast.com.

Second day in a row, after a heavy rain, I have enjoyed seeing this large Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and friends.👇

#WordyWednesday: Enchantment - "a spell that comes over us, an aura of fantasy and emotion that can settle on the heart and either disturb it or send it into rapture and reverie."

I am re-reading Thomas Moore's "The Re-Enchantment of Everyday Life"

#MentalHealth is important: My favorite way to begin the day is by sitting outside with my a.m. coffee, underneath a beautiful tree canopy, listening to the birds. My soul sings as the night sky gives way to the first light of day. My heart swells as I watch the squirrels play. I am at peace.

#WordyWednesday I have been sitting outside a lot recently, enjoying the cool mornings, coffee, and listening to the birds. This has become a favorite word.👇

Wordy Wednesday: A few ways to define Cranky are annoyed, eccentric, malfunctioning, and unstable.

This is my favorite👇

Just to let you know, a lot of us wish Wonder Woman could help us right now.

... I can't help but feel the bittersweet, overwhelming weight of my Country. I am desperately hoping for a hero and wish we had a Wonder Woman to save us.

In honor of my Welsh ancestors: This book, set in Wales, is about a young woman coming into her witchy powers. Considering all the crap going on today, I needed to escape to another world. And to paraphrase another author: I am the great-great granddaughter of a witch they could not burn.

I often work through my ups and downs by talking to myself because I live alone and don't have easy access to a therapist. This is a coping technique I am experimenting with. Comments are welcome.

I walked through my local park this morning and discovered the steps were covered with these guys looking for food.

I treated myself to coffee from a North Carolina family owned roaster, sat under a beautiful canopy watching the birds and squirrels, enjoying the fresh air after a thunderstorm.

Reread Louise Penny & Hillary Rodham Clinton's book "State of Terror". Even more disturbing than when I read in 2023. I highly recommend everyone read this book now!

Mental Health America published this book for young people (12-17 years old) struggling emotionally and unsure "Where to Start". If you know a young person, this is a great gift.
