I get you, it took me like 10 sessions to get my head around all the stuff the enemies can use....I found a useful rule of thumb is to use the 3 malice option on round 1, then 5 on round 2. Works most of the time for me :D

Yep, I love the cool stuff you can do with the Dynamic terrain items. It took me a while to start using them

The Statblocks I used: 8 shades, 2 spectors, 4 zombies and 2 umbral stalkers for 30ev. My party where level one and did ok, although @rocketbird.bsky.social's Poldar Conduit almost got eaten.

If you run this encounter, check if you have two players who can teleport... my party had a cheat code :D

The goal is to get the muggufin from the cage. To open it, one person must stand on each of the glowing blue circles. When someone stands on one, a portcullis (p340) comes down, blocking the path back. If both are stood on, the muggfin is freed, undead rise, and the portcullis stays down.

I don't know if you're planning to draw them by hand, but if you're not, Inkarnate is amazing and has a great YouTube channel with lots of advice :D
