Javier R. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 09/15/2025 18:07:07 There's a lot of great content in Magic+ that expands so much on magic and spellcasting for Pathfinder 2e in a lot of interesting ways. Essence casting is, of course, the biggest part with at least 10 pages dedicated to making it work fluidly and in combination with almost any kind of spellcasting a PC can get their hands on, but another aspect I love about the book is how there's options touching on how to customize spellcasting to fit exactly the vision someone would see for their character. This includes specializing in just a few traits with the Eldritch Wicketeer, something that allows someone to really become a "fire mage" rather than a "jack of all trades mage", to the freedom to take advantage of the 3-action system like martials can much more easily with the dynamic variants of some of the system's most iconic spells. On top of that is the extensive rework of summoning and battle form spells to use a shared system via aspects, which enables casters to keep either their summons or forms consistent across a campaign. Not every aspect of the book is going to work for everyone, though. For me, the parts that don't appeal are the archmage mythic destiny, as I don't intend to run mythic campaigns very much (though to its credit, the mythic destiny is at least usable by non-mythic characters if permitted to use them as a normal archetype), and the experimental incapacitation variant, which is a little too spicy of a concept for my table. The book is also extremely player-focused, and while there are a few fun items to give out like the scepters, most of what I as the GM in most of my table's games get to play with is an experimental way to allow NPCs to use essence casting. Overall, I think Magic+ is one of the best supplements I've read, and I'd be willing to incorporate its contents into just about any campaign I run (or advocate for it in a campaign I'm a player in), even Starfinder 2e campaigns. …

Thomas B. August 6th, 2025 Five Stars Magic+ is, in my opinion, a new gold standard for 3rd party content for PF2e. They've created systems robust enough that they change how you'll look at your spell lists in fundamental ways. And that's "systems", as in multiple, each one is foundational enough that whole concepts could be spun out for other 3rd party books. My personal favorite has to be Essence Casting, because of how much it changes without upending the entire magic system. You get to have as many spells as you want, never running out, and all of the spells and spell lists still work, and it's balanced. It's quite the feat. But then they went and made things like their Apect Summons & Battleforms, and that system is also a treat. They just work. Giving unique options, the ability to stick with your favorites, and ease of use all in one package. And all of this without having to crack open a Bestiary. The way they made a balanced and satisfying specialist archetype for casters is really the cherry on top. It allows you to create all kinds of builds that you'd want to play that get to focus in on a couple of spell types, without leaving you feeling like you've shot yourself in the foot by making that choice. This is truly A+ work by Team+

Thomas B. May 20th, 2025 5 stars It's so wild that they've remastered this book and didn't charge for it, so I thought it was the least I could do to give it a review! I already loved the Alchemical instinct and they've added a couple of additional feats to it now, along with many of the instincts featured. I really like that they added some support for the Decay and Ligneous instincts, they really made both more appealing and fully featured to stack up against other instincts. It was already a great book, and they've only made it better!

Sam F. April 10th, 2025 Five stars Once again Team+ knocks it out of the park! While I know they didn't do as much writing on this one as they did in previous editions due to letting the other writers express themselves more, the expanded options and archetypes are amazing! My favorite is the Hongali Horse Lord! There are also really cool things like the Qi Shaper archetype that allow you to even give some of your HP in order to deal more damage. I look forward to being able to use these options soon!

Sam F. Five star review on August 4th, 2024: there are so many feats in here! My favorite so far being "Smokescreens" as it allows you to get smokeballs without having to go into Crafting or spending gold on them. Just an awesome feat for a stealthy sylph like myself!

hugh h. June 14th, 2024 Absolutely fantastic! Not only do they add even more eidolons to play around with, such as Genies, Oozes, Oni and even Mages, but they also allow for variant Eidolons such as the Devil, Linnorm and Archon variants of Demon, Dragon and Angel respectively. Some of the variants could use a little more options, since they usually just change one of the eidolon's abilities. The class archetype introduced here also gives an option for a full martial Summoner that not only makes Tandem Strike finally viable, but also introduces a lot of fun ways to fight in tandem! The extra 'manifestations'- new ways to manifest eidolons that change how the eidolon is summoend- are amazingly inventive, and very fun to play with. Incarnate lets you play the fantasy of summoning a mighty creature for a shorter time like a Final Fantasy summon, Rider lets you fully play around with having a steed.... max alt text reached, read full review of summoners+ on Pathfinder infinite!
