It is one week today since we lost Maisie to pneumonia. She was the best little (huge) Irish Wolfhound pup and we cannot believe she is gone at 12 months old. Despite the best care from the ICU veterinary team she could not fight the infection and died peacefully while still on the ventilator. ❤️🐶🌈

It is one week today since we lost Maisie to pneumonia. She was the best little (huge) Irish Wolfhound pup and we cannot believe she is gone at 12 months old. Despite the best care from the ICU veterinary team she could not fight the infection and died peacefully while still on the ventilator. ❤️🐶🌈
After a successful trial off the ventilator last night, Maisie tried to continue breathing on her own, but her fever returned and she needed intubating again. It hurts to see her on the ventilator again, but I know she’s more comfortable. She has been stable since then. High hopes for tomorrow. ❤️🐶😩
