A specific sex or gender can only be excluded from the study, when a clear and concise scientific justification is provided for this choice. This should be articulated in the introduction and methodology sections to inform readers of the rationale behind the study design.

I hope so too! About 2 years ago, we published a paper in JEK drawing attention to this & calling for a change in human motor unit physiology studies. We will reevaluate in a few years...

👒Researcher where my line of work looks at the impact of cancer treatments on physical function. I'm specifically interested in how cancer treatments affect muscle & what we can do to improve the quality of life for those living with & beyond cancer. I have a special interest in radiation treatment.
