Catching up on what I would have posted earlier on Bluesky: I installed a cat shelf for our dog and Halloween was full of Squid Games references & costumes.

Course reviews were released and I am humbled at the generosity of my grad students. I taught just fine, I think, but the kindness embedded in constructive feedback reaffirms that we’re bringing the right people into the profession.

I had a larger turnout than expected for my presentation at a school psychology conference (WSASP) and it just feels so good. There’s something special about practitioners choosing your academic conference session. It’s like, “yeah, we share some values and perspectives here!”

In my bio I claimed that I run races (and analyses and into trouble). I’d like to prove that these are all true things about me ~annually. Stay tuned for my “running into trouble” evidence; that should be fun for the BlueSky-o-Sphere 🤣

It was the first class for our future school psychologists last night. I asked the students to vote on how they would like to structure breaks during our 3-hour class. By majority vote, they selected a third option that I hadn’t thought of. Schools will be in good hands with this crew #academicsky
