One day late, because I was having such a marvelous day yesterday. A belated 'Happy Bday to me! In my lifetime the Earth has orbited the Sun 73 times (but always 17 at heart😍). Heart attack survivor since 2011. Blessed to still be here to teach📚

Susie is a very friendly short-haired brown/gold tabby cat, with black stripes and spots, accented with white paws, mouth and chest. She has long white whiskers, gorgeous big black and gold eyes and is looking directly into the camera, while sitting on a bed with a hand made quilt of multi-colored patches.

A small light salmon colored potted begonia flower sits on a wooden, oval dining room table. The begonia has a cluster of green leaves with delicate salmon blooms with tiny yellow button centers. A beautiful Black woman, whose face graces the cover. Dr. Hale is the founder and Senior Pastor of the Ray of Hope Christian Church in Decatur, Georgia. In 2009, Dr. Hale was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve on the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships. She also served as a member of the 2016 Platform Committee for the Democratic National Convention and delivered the Invocation at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, PA.

A striking floral arrangement featuring two Bird of Paradise flowers. The Bird of Paradise flower has a long, thick green stalk that opens up and sprouts a vibrant yellow and orange bloom. When in bloom, the plant looks like the Kingfisher bird, with the green stalk with its pointed tip looking like the long beak of the kingfisher with the yellow, orange and sometimes burgundy bloom looking like the beautiful colored head of the Kingfisher. The arrangement is accented with thin, dried twisted twigs and various decorative greenery at the base with two small vibrant red orange roses at the base of the two Bird of Paradise flowers. The arrangement is sitting on an oval wooden dining room table accented with blue and white country containers.

The Pink Saucer Magnolia that graces my front yard. A lady, who adorns her spring hat the very first day the temp rises above 65. Totally confused by #ClimateChange, she now graces us with just one day.
A Pink Saucer Magnolia tree. A relatively small tree with dark pink and shades of pink blooms. The name comes from the shape of the blooms. The larger light pink petals form a saucer like shape. In the middle of this petal saucer sits smaller, darker pink petals shaped like a small cup. Hence, 'Pink Saucer Magnolia'

I never let my Susie go outside, but she has gotten past me in the past. Susie is so spoiled, that the last time she got out, it began to rain and there was a scratching at the door. Susie no longer tries to get out.
Above, see my cat Susie, a black, brown and gold hued tabby with piercing, gorgeous eyes. She is 7 years old, very friendly and lives for treats after breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Miss Pink Saucer Magnolia that graces my front yard.
A small tree with beautiful pink and white petals that blooms only once at the first sign of warm weather, no matter the season. The blossoms remind one of a pink saucer, hence her name ... Miss Pink Saucer Magnolia.
