Hey, I'm Megan! A 'Yorkshire Tea' drinking lass from the mountains of the British Lake District.

I break stuff for a living 🖥️🔨🐛

I'm obsessed with adventure, meeting people, riding motorcycles, gaming, restoring rusty tools, finding new hobbies 😎
The Entrance to Andorra from the French side, a common sight for those visiting this little independent principality here in Europe, with the mountains of #Pyrenees surrounding you on all sides. Definitely worth a visit, but turn off your mobile data here! 📵💸🏍️ #roamingcharges #travel #motorcycle

Late night post 🌠 Another shot from one of this years tours. Usually I prefer to tour solo, but this time two friends came along with me as they weren't confident enough to tour themselves. This shot is from the top of Stelvio pass by the Alpengasthof Tibet Hütte. #motorcycle #triumph #tiger #travel

Looks like a gorgeous few days 🥰 It's not looking like that the last few days, here's my trip over Hardknott last night to see if I could get to the cinema in Ambleside for my birthday, the further east I went the snowier and icier it got, Hardknott was no problem, Wrynose not so much 🤣 black ice!

Well, I've survived another trip around the sun, even if a tourist did try to end that trip prematurely in September 🚘💥🏍️🚑🏥😅

I'm looking forward to another year, more adventure, more travel, meeting new people, making new friends, seeing new places, riding more bikes and experiencing new things 🎂❤️🌍

A continuation of my favourite route through the Cottian Alps, this time Strada dell'Assietta (SP173) connecting to Colle delle Finestre (SP172).

34km long and mostly above 2000m, this rough rock and dirt track passes 5 mountain summits between Finestre and Sestriere #motorcycle #travel #adventure

Anyone else here a winter addict? I know winter isn't everyone's favourite thing, but I love it!

I love winter storms, keeping the fire lit, climbing snow & ice covered mountains, inversions, driving through snowy landscapes, gorgeous (and harsh) winter light, snowboarding & blanket snuggling 🌨️❄️🗻🥰

Mitty - My first 'big' bike, a Royal Enfield Himalayan 411. This bike took me almost across the entirety of Europe in my first 3 months of riding last year, I'd happily use it to see the whole world, it might not be the quickest, but what it lacks in speed, it sure makes up for in every other way 🥰🌍

My first bike was a little Yamaha YBR125 - I absolutely loved that bike, I got it from the school where I was learning to ride, it was one of their old CBT bikes. It was rusty and messed up, so I stripped it, restored it, did thousands of miles around the UK. It taught me everything about bikes! ❤️🏍️❤️

Royal Enfield invited me down to the unveiling of their new flat track bike in April this year at Workington, heck of a machine and completely dominated 😎

I see your Lake District wintery scene, and raise you some further Lake District wintery scenes here in Wasdale ❄️❤️

That's the kind of statement I can get behind 😎 I feel we need to go for a ride. One of my favourites here in the Lake District (and there are plenty of them), is Mae's Tea Rooms & Gallery in Uldale, overlooking the gorgeous Lake District fells and set high up the hills in an old Victorian school.

Probably one of the nicest custom motorbikes I've seen since I started riding, I believe it's a custom Triumph T120, spotted it outside a country club near Fontaine-De-Vaucluse in the Vaucluse department of France. Would happily own a bike like this one 🤩😍 #motorcycle #motorbike #custombike #triumph

You and me both 😎 And there's always time for a cup of tea, am I right? 😁🤪

Yessss, that's what I'm taking about 😎 and don't forget, there's always time for a good cup of tea #snow #tea #trangia #winterriding #winterbiking #nosuchthingasbikingseason 🤣

Haha, it's not as bad as it looks, well unless you're not a fan of very narrow roads with very tight hairpins - the first few km at the bottom has this section highlighted, you barely have the opportunity to get out of first gear when coming uphill due to how close the hairpins are to each other 🤣

Another great shot and another fave route of mine. A biker on his #Triumph Tiger on the road leading away from the North of Col du #Galibier heading to Valloire. I didn't make it to the summit of Galibier this year as they had closed the snow gates early due to snow. #motorcycling #mountains #tour

Possibly one of my favourite unsurfaced roads in Italy, located in the Piemonte region, Colle delle Finestre (Strada Provinciale 172). Built in the 1700's to grant access to Forte di Fenestrelle, the road travels up from the town of Susa & gains nearly 1700m of height in 17km. #travel #Italy #Italia

Haha, that's one of the reasons I got the 411 as well. I've done around 10,000 miles on mine, including some seriously challenging off-road routes, snow, ice, floods, and it's only fallen over once - and that was because I thought I was in gear as I went to make a slow speed turn on a steep slope 😅

Sat on the road and shared tea with these two awesome individuals at the top of Stelvio Pass on my #travels this year. They'd transported their bikes all the way from Abu Dhabi for some European #adventure 😎 We shared some route recommendations, gifts and contact info. Meeting new people is life 🙌🏻❤️🌍

Since passing my #motorcycle test in June 2023, I've become completely addicted to the freedom and joy it has given me. Travelling over 25,000 miles in 14 countries, off-road passes and all my bucket-list locations - the best part is all my senses being bombarded. The smells, heat, humidity, wind 🥰

Yeah, I own the Himalayan 450 (the tubeless Hanle Black version), I purchased it back in August, then immediately did a 5000 mile trip around Europe on it, absolutely loved it. It wasn't all perfect, had a few non-serious issues with it, but as a seriously capable all-rounder, this bike is 🔥
November 18, 2024 at 12:58 AM
I've got both the 411 and the 450, although my 450 has now been written off after a head-on crash with a tourist - hopefully it will get it replaced in the near future. I personally liked the retro and agricultural styling and feeling of the 411, but it was hard not to enjoy the power of the 450.

Bike season? There's no such thing 🤪 We've had the first snow of the winter over the mountains here in Wasdale today. I know winter riding isn't for everyone, but I love it ❄️❤️ the atmosphere, scenery, colours and light in winter are the best! Here's Nermal, my #yamaha #xsr700 - #motorcycling #winter
November 17, 2024 at 9:42 PM
I've got an XSR700 too, love mine so much 🥰 Put a Kelpi custom exhaust on to bring out that CP2 noise 🤩

#firstpost here on BlueSky - I've spent the last few months recovering from a serious motorcycle accident, but figured my first post here should probably be a picture of my adventures before my accident. Looking forward to returning to adventure in 2025 ❤️🥰 #adventure #motorcycle #royalenfield #alps
