about ten years ago (damn) i wrote a piece making the argument that dylann roof and donald trump existed on the same ideological continuum. there were folks in this group who said the piece was not responsible or sophisticated enough. maybe it wasn't. but was it right? absolutely.

I would urge everyone wondering what they can do now to research General Strike US. Even if you don’t believe you can strike during a general strike, there are ways you can help to make it possible for others. It will take the collective to push back against Trump’s regime. @genstrikeus.bsky.social

Maybe it’s the special interest in history. Maybe it’s the pattern recognition. Or maybe it’s that they truly don’t intend to stop questioning citizenship status with this particular attack on birthright citizenship. This feels like the initial test, not the end goal.
