It seems noise cancelling headphones might cause hearing problems. Not hearing loss but less ability to discern sound. It is speculated it might be the hearing system being overwhelmed by every day noises when in normal scenarios.

Just finished Children of Time—what a mind-bending journey! A sprawling, high-stakes space opera that explores evolution, artificial intelligence, and what it means to be human. Definitely a slow burn, but worth every page.
