Cedar-handled bottle opener. Because cedar is so much softer than the hardwoods I usually use, I modified my process a bit.

The handle is a bit shorter to reduce the max leverage that can be applied. I also flooded the handle with thin CA clue, hence the gloss finish.

Drug testing for a new job, got sent to "Any Lab Test Now!" which has a flashing LED "OPEN" sign. It is in a run down strip mall next to a dispensary where they sell things that cause a positive hit on the test, and things that are supposed to prevent a positive hit on the test.

So, this happened last night.

Cedar bowl from limb crotch. It is sitting on the lathe but I know I need to up my photo game for store listings. The chatoyance in the heartwood is amazing but I do not know yet how to capture it well in a still photo. Maybe need to do video for that.

The limb was cracked and the 1/8 inch crack is visible from the top of the bowl to halfway down and slanted to the left. It was filled with twigs and sawdust and bound with super glue. On finishing, the twigs show as cross sections running down the crack.

My wife added eyes and nose and is getting ready to add ears and tail on the mouse. We are preparing to launch a #goimagine store and he'll be in the first batch of items listed.

If the efficacy claims can be believed, and if you follow the instructions as written, you might be in for a crapload of disappointment.

1) Pull up the My HOA Connect app. The author is CINC Systems, the largest provider of HOA management software in the nation.

2) Expand the Data Safety panel

3) Find the link to the privacy policy at the very bottom and click it.

At my last house we had a pine tree that shed tiny cones, about 2 inches and smaller. I cast some in resin to make this pen. I love the way the cones reveal after turning, which is in the close-up on the right.

Is it just me , or does the cone look a bit like the enemy alien ships from Babylon 5?

1/2 - The most economical, environmentally friendly packing material I can think of is the wood shavings from turning. I can sift most of the fine dust out to reduce mess, and tape all the seams on the box. Buyers could toss it, compost it, use it in planting beds, etc.
Photo shows the bottom part of a black cast iron lathe stand after use. There is a large pile of wood shavings on the work platform to the left of two steel tube work stool legs. The volume of shavings is about 10 gallons (which I can attest to because I use a 5-gallon bucket when I sweep them up.)

A neighbor commissioned some fan pulls but didn't give me any specs other than they should be light in color. So I made these two milk-jug-looking pulls out of maple and sent a photo for her approval. "I was thinking teardrop shaped" came the reply.

Toilet paper roll on its side sits in a holder that had 4 stubby black legs and paws. A panda face is 3D printed and held on the side of the roll by the toilet paper core.

Before-and-after picture of a cedar hollow-form bowl I turned on the lathe. I'm in the process of setting up a GoImagine shop so I can sell things like this to a wider market.

Followed a bunch of #woodtuurning accounts today. Here's my latest - a segmented maple vase ~ 9.5 inches (24cm) tall by 7 inches (18cm) wide. Segments made from two different boards to get the understated banding design.
Traditional style vase has a narrow bottom that quickly slopes up the widest point close to the bottom. It them tapers up to a thin neck about 2/3 up, then tapers out to a flared rim at the top.
