I'm a (private) school librarian. Recently, a preschool class began coming once a week for story time. I now have rock star status! These littles gaze with awe, wave wildly & giggle, and fling themselves at me wantonly for hugs. What a wild effect, just from taking 10 minutes to read them a story.

At a time when it's so important to seek out reliable news, it's frustrating that reliable online news sources charge to read their articles. I prefer to check multiple outlets over the course of a week or so, but it's getting harder to do that with all the paywalls.

Attending the FAME Conference is so inspirational. There are always so many ideas to bring back and implement in my library, and this year my students are super excited that I get to meet one of their favorite authors! Keep 'em reading!

Just for fun, someone should compile an anthology of "historical" articles about the current US govnt written from the perspective of 50 or 100 years in the future. A whole new sub-genre of sci-fi could evolve.

If FL is intent on giving parents rights to everything from educating to vaccinating their children, at least start requiring couples to go through the education, training, and certification processes that their current teachers and doctors have. Otherwise, they can't even make informed decisions.

A friend of mine will be traveling and wanted to get a COVID vaccine before she left, since 2 people we know have had it in the past couple weeks. New rules - now she can't get one. We are no longer allowed the option of getting vaccinated if we choose to.

I've realized I'm hooked. I'd no sooner completed the Mt. Ranier 1/2 marathon when I was already looking for the next one. Booked for the Rocky Mt. 1/2 next summer. Can't wait for that next dopamine hit!

I have an idea for cutting federal waste - how about we stop paying our congressional senators and representatives? They aren't doing their jobs appropriating federal funds; they've relinquished that to presidential executive order.

Why does he have this much power? To single-handedly crash the world's stock markets and have 50+ world leaders on his doorstep to negotiate? No one man was ever intended to wield so much power in the US. And yet he says he has no bargaining leverage with El Salvador.

There's irony to the fact that the President got elected on hopes of bettering the economy, only to completely tank the world economy. He's running it like a business, folks. Oh, right, he bankrupted more than one of his businesses.

Please share!!! This is getting ridiculous—they just can’t accept a loss. Please help spread the word to North Carolina. The North Carolina Court of Appeals ruled in a 2-1 decision that over 60,000 votes cast in last year’s closely contested state Supreme Court race must be verified and recounted.
