Whew, took a while but the shaders have now successfully been added to the model, so custom colouring should be easy! Still need to add the stigmata, but we'll get there.

And here's a mock-up of the Override phase!

This is the phase where you try and stop your gladiator's thrallsuit from binding their arms behind their back while trying to put a hood on the enemy gladiator!

More or less figured out what decisions to make for the combat phase- The stats used are Power and Energy, with Power being a kind of 'bonus exertion' on top of your gladiator's normal stats, and energy powering shields and other effects.

Though today involved a chunk of coding, the majority of it was spent designing the battle UI. I think this much is good, though I need to do the clickables for the combat and override phases...whaddya think? :D

What a foolish fool I was to do lighting masks *as well* as baked-on model shading- sometimes my ambition scares me...well, it'll all pay off in some long-long-long run, even if we're stop-gapping it for release.

In the meantime Ooooo look at the shiny heeled gladiator oooo~ ONTO THE C#!!!

Finally got at least some rudimentary animations together on my too-complex model so I can feel ok enough to move into the actual 'coding' part of the game.

Reckon I've about lineworked everything useable, so tomorrow we'll be shading as much as possible; had to cut some of the longer/more complex hairstyles, but that's ok, people like their girls bald anyway, right?

One idea I've had is that if you win you get to decide on 1 of a few items to 'inflict' on the loser, and the other player will either have to have their gladiator wear it for a bit or spend credits to remove- though given this is a smut game, maybe they'd like their gladiator gagged for a bit?

Day 10 in the big dev house, and TDL is getting the linework done for the bits and bobs. The model's the focus of all the effort right now, and I've pretty much finished the linework for the poses and pieces.

The main trick at this point I think is aesthetic execution; some large priority will need to be put toward getting the gladiators looking good with a few different poses based on weapons and suit-changes.

Tomorrow will be more progress on that, and deciding on what UI screens we want to aim for!

Beyond this, did some planning, we're probably aiming for some kind of blend of auto-battler and combat akin to the Dune boardgame where you can determine the amount of power to use for fights, and itemize the gladiator before the match with weapons, etc.

So, some goals with this project are to solve some issues I have with the games I'm interesting in making- such as implementing shaders for Live2D Models

So far, progress on that seems good, though I'll need to see what to do when it comes to Naninovel where the Live2d's projected onto a mesh

Probably with training in between bouts, and the loser either bowing to the victor, or- if higher-takes, turning into a drone-trophy for the victor to put into their collection!

The particular mechanics are unspecific right now as I'm aiming a start-to-finish during the month, but the general aim is for it to be a 1v1 multiplayer game with 2 trained gladiators standing opposite sides of the screen, losing clothes/their mins as actions play out
