I would argue that it started with Nixon...but the thing is as normal as it is, we don't have to stand for it. The government is supposed to work for the people, not the other way around.

We need to keep reminding people that Kirk was a twisted evil little man who hated everyone who wasn't exactly like him.
I don't approve of political assassination....but I also don't approve of the canonization of a nasty goblin who spewed nothing but hate.
