Nuclear weapons? Asteroid strike? Pestilence? Super intelligent AI?

No, putting LLMs in Excel is what is going to end civilization.

Yesterday's school shooting won't show up in a bunch of summary statistics.

"Only" two people other than the shooter died, so it won't count as a mass shooting as counted by many organizations.

"We don't know who they are, or even which agency they represent, but does that make these police "secret police"?"

Yes, it clearly does.

I'm normally hesitant to make claims of causality, but it's a pretty easy bet that repeated infection with an incredibly damaging virus is a more likely cause of detriment to kids than other kids being out of school for a few months before they were even born.
The pandemic generation: How Covid-19 has left a long-term mark on children
The stress and isolation of the pandemic has left social and emotional scars that are already being seen in children, but scientists also predict there could be huge economic costs.

The professors defending the use of LLMs to create course content in this article are beyond embarrassing.

No, this is not "AI" and students will not need to know how to "ethically" use this in their careers.

Anyone pretending otherwise is misinformed, lying, or both.

The first American Pope was Francis. This isn't hard.
Calling Pope Francis the "first Latin American Pope" is such a weird thing, when he was the first American Pope, without any modifier.

I don't post on here much, but I'm so psyched every time I see @roywoodjr.bsky.social getting some of the credit he deserves.

His series got renewed, and he had a Detroiters reunion on one side of the stage for yesterday's show.

Cake's cover of I Will Survive was released closer to the release of the original than to the present day.

This was true starting in 2014.

This is just an auto-complete. That's all it can do. If it happens to explain something correctly, it's quite literally by chance.

Stop expecting meaningful responses from these things.

Reasonable people using them, like Chris here, lend credibility to inherently untrustworthy technology.
