I’ve lost faith and refound it and living with it is a lot better imo. I get why some may not agree but there’s still a lotta good to believing in a higher power and afterlife.

Completely agree. Just making the playoffs or being a first-place team is a boon to ticket sales, merch sales, etc. im not saying I agree with their thinking but I think that’s how they approach it. Hopefully Swanson’s a 6 WAR player or whatever

We’re in a weird space where people are rightfully criticizing worst parts of religion (excess, hypocrisy and bigotry) without seeing the very real, positive effects and community-building it presents.

Naw fr. But they (correctly) thought of Ohtani as a way to juice revenue off the field; they wouldn’t pay top dollar for someone who’s *just* good at baseball.
Soto may be exceptionally good at baseball but that bottom line speaks loudest to Ricketts.
