I (unfortunately) can't switch to Linux because:
- Linux doesn't have On-Demand Cloud Storage
- Wine doesn't support WinTab or Windows Ink
- Proton doesn't support some games I like (minor)
- LibreOffice isn't as polished as MS Office (minor)

I noticed that any likes that I made before a specific date (maybe early August) aren't visible via @bsky.app
Likes are still visible when checking ATProto via @blueskytracker.app
Customer Support has me in an automated reply loop

Linux doesn't have a standard for Cloud Sync Engines (On-Demand Files), so I'm stuck with Windows (unless I decide to get a Mac)

Heavenly and Kirkwood only post condition updates on X / Twitter. I'm a bit surprised that they didn't set up any alternatives, but oh well.

Synology QuickConnect relies on Let's Encrypt for direct and regional wildcard certs, but the company isn't listed as an ISRG sponsor.

It feels scummy to build a commercial product that depends on a nonprofit service like Let's Encrypt and not financially support it.

**This Website is Hosted on Bluesky**

This weekend I found myself digging through the AT Protocol specifications and the Bluesky Personal Data Server (PDS) implementation. In doing so, I discovered that I could setup a website that is fully hosted on Bluesky.

atproto aha moments:

- you can host your data
- it's just json
- it's typed but any app dev can invent those types
- records have URIs
- records are signed so cacheable without trust
- relay aggregates everyone’s events into a global stream
- backends subscribe to relay and update local DBs
