You seem to be conflating legal immigration with illegal border crossings. Best way to combat illegal crossings is to better fund our legal immigration system so it doesn’t take years. Also, you specifically did say no peaceful assembly, unless you consider burning a flag an act of violence.

So no real change to the vetting process we’ve been using? What open door are you referring too? Do you have any idea how difficult it is for people to get legal residency in the US? No right to assembly or protest for immigrants?

So you answered my first question, no. You failed to address my second question, how do you know people will be a net positive? Just going to take their word for it? Also, define assimilate. Do you want people to completely abandon their own culture? We’ve never required that in the past.
