Original art piece idea by @mIdrux on Twitter, but I and others were disappointed they drew it with mean-spirited intentions.. even calling the kidfur character a "diddyblud" (yes. verbatim) and getting wrapped up in "proship discourse." I thought the message was too human to let it be diluted + overshadowed by typical online whataboutisms and wanted to redo + reclaim it with more touches of the furry fandom, esp being a furry myself. It's love. For some, the love of your life is in the corner of a boring furcon panel room -- even if they don't have the same "interests," it's care that bridges the gap.

I don't wanna shame anyone for just staying on Twitter. I completely understand it as I'm in a similar boat. And I can't fit all my thoughts in a normal text post

I'm gonna do the unexpected and defend artists who stay on Twitter. Many of them do this for a living so they can survive. Of course they're gonna cling to bigger numbers because they think it means potential income, they aren't gonna think about potential artificial inflated numbers. Just that maybe one of those numbers will give them enough money to potentially be able to pay for groceries or even give them their last part they need for rent

For further context twitter added a button that allows users to generate ai images using existing art posts from artists. It removes glaze and it basically reskins the artwork by using the existing work as a base. Twitter is no longer a safe space for art
