What a station: completed 1905 (replacing earlier Brussels-Antwerp terminus), struck by WWII V2 rockets, almost demolished, restored… now dubbed spoorwegkathedraal (‘railroad cathedral’) for its grand/slightly mad style, inspiration for start of WG Sebald’s cult novel Austerlitz
