Thank you! It drives me nuts when people say they’re coequal. Yes, there are spheres in which each branch can check another, but Congress was given all of the most critical powers, such as the power of the purse AND the power to declare war. Over time the balance has shifted but Congress is still #1

It’s NOT a coequal branch! The founders made the legislative branch MORE powerful than the executive. Yes, there are spheres of power in which the other branches can check the legislature, but it was given the most important powers (like the purse) because we wanted a weak executive

As a cancer patient, I’ve spent a lot of time in these machines over the past year. And as someone who studied physics in college, I’m constantly in greatful awe of the thousands of hours unknowingly invested in my individual survival. 🥰

Mathematical ignorance also drove Roberts’ gerrymandering decision. He just didn’t get that math that experts were using — he called it “sociological gobbledygook.” Innumeracy is common among otherwise smart lawyers. It’s infuriating that Roberts let his low math IQ affect his judgment.

It’s a familiar dynamic. In law school, there were plenty of commercial outlines, hornbooks, and case summaries for sale. They were useless; it’s thru the process of making the outline yourself that you ruminate on the issues and learn. If the final product is just handed to you, you’ve missed out

Also, is there money appropriated for this? The last census cost $14.2 billion … you can’t Executive Order this into existence
