She was actually doing really rather well until that point - trying to get Starmer on recordon tax rises, in the way he once did to Johnson on partygate. Highlighting potential divisions with the chancellor. And then she grabbed the crayons and sneared them all over her face. Insane.

Isn't the point here about what's politically acceptable? Is that the Overton Window? Once this becomes law, the window shifts/widens (whatever analogy you like) so it's not just about parliamentary sovereignty but about shifting what's acceptable?
