I was all about deBasement’s “Front Left Speaker” back in the fall of 2024, now they’re back with a summer dance jam, “Aperol Spritz.” I love the simple, yet effective ARP that has a nice rubbery quality to it. The song definitely bounces!

a cool mid-tempo and vaguely mid-’80s pop number that feels straight out of an ‘80s teen flick. It’s such a soothing listen that I find myself popping it on whenever my day gets a little too hectic. If you’re having a stressful day, I recommend you doing the same!

It's got a wonderful upbeat tempo punctuated by guitar flourishes while synth pads swirl around dreamily. The sing-a-long melody is top-notch and Lew’s vocals are oh-so-sweet. If this were 1998, college radio/ alternative FM would be eating this song up!

It has a churning rhythm guitar that’s a little bit ‘80s, a hazy, dreamy, reverb-soaked lead vocal, a HUGE fuzzy chorus, and a little bit of Cure-esque guitar flange (ala “The Forest”). Very nice stuff!
