Oh no, it was totally on purpose. He did it so precisely to aggravate Vox as much as he could. One reason is that Al seem to be truly scared of depending on anyone. Second is that then he could potentially use Vox later to break his contract.

He came on his own will, but because he thinks (and is right) that Val would force him to harm his friends whenever he wanted. So he is forced, not directly but indirectly. His was forced, his decision was just to stop resisting.

Some people just love making drama, don't they? Watching this scene I was convinced they purposely put multiple shots only so we won't get wrong impression. Like: that Husk likes guys, that he flirts with Angel out of drag. Do these people even watch this series?

In Helluva we are cheering for the professional killers :D What I'm saying is in this universe killing people is not that serious. They go to heaven or hell. Some even seem to prefer their existence afterwards. So yeah, disposing of racists is fine here.
