My dad has dementia and I’m careful with his food. He still enjoys eating and good food, so I make sure to cook his favs regularly. It looks different (he has trouble swallowing & using a knife to cut meat, so I usually cut it for him), but tastes great and it’s nice to watch him clean his plate. 🍽️

My niece caught her first moose and gave us a few steaks and roasts. On FB family members debated whether a popular family dish was a sheppard or cottage pie.

I searched the internet and found a cottage pie recipe with cubed beef. So I made it with cubed moose meat instead and it was delish 🍽️.

We didn’t have blue jays when I was a kid. I began noticing them about 10 years ago. Today, they’re here all year and they love to eat from a feeder I set up by my living room window. I can sit here and stare at them for hours 💙🪶💙.
