It looks like the applicant included color as a tool for disclaiming parts of a 3D CAD drawing? Interesting, if so.

The description states:

Yea, I get that. But I wonder if he has anything else to add -- how you can safely film the encounter for evidence, perhaps?

I also understand that even with such evidence, you are in a tough spot if they arrest & charge you -- it's still potentially life ruining...maybe I am grasping at straws?

Ken -- Americans could use an easily-understandable guide on what they can and can't do to warn others, and what practical advice you'd give to people (citizens and non-citizens) that encounter ICE officers.

As you've stated, there is a lot of bad advice out there that can ruin/destroy lives.

Some thoughts from the article, which I hope you'll read and share widely:

1) Scientists hate hearing "why are we funding that research, it sounds silly," and many people ask in bad faith. But some really want to know, and we should have an answer!

And if it's happening at an agency that essentially pays for itself, I can't even imagine the damage being done at other gov't agencies providing valuable services for the American people.

This damage will not be easily undone. It's profoundly sad to see.

Gov't efficiency at its finest 🙄

My experiences are anecdotal, but it seems to align with every other practitioner I've spoken to, and all of the chatter online from the patent community.

The USPTO was previously the gold standard for patent offices...not so much anymore.

As a former Republican, upon honest reflection, this has been a strategy for my entire life from a lot of the right. It's just never been done in such a blatantly bad faith manner that lacks all civility, ethics, and principles. And it's never been as dangerous.

Sad but true

I think identifying the equivalent amount spent for a typical American helps put this in perspective.

For example, someone worth $500 billion giving away $25 million is equivalent to someone with $150,000 giving away $7.50.

It's absurd and we should call it out all the time.
