Thank you!! It’s been fun to start to share these on here!

I saw that but I posted it because the point I'm trying to make still stands. If we see George re-sign, performance didn't keep George in his job, Max's contract with Red Bull did.

(But to your point, this column was originally published a couple days ago)

George never struck me as a guy who relishes in these dynamics. He’s helped other drivers secure seats and he’ll have institutional support if Merc decides not renew his contract

Most people don’t have that, so it’s not the worst situation. But I can hardly imagine that’s any consolation Good luck

It might be a cruel reality of Formula 1, but this is the environment the drivers and team bosses created for themselves. It’s easy for a lot of them to conduct business this way when they’re on top. #f1 #motorsports #georgerussell

Does George deserve to keep his seat at Mercedes? Well judging from performance, he absolutely does

But with Merc rumored to have the best engine going into the 2026 regulations, it’s no surprise a 4-time World Champion is interested in moving garages— possibly on the condition that George must go.

relax my friend, he's only had 11 total entries in F1 so far and this is a new car.

It's also worth noting that sometimes upgrades backfire.

Aston Martin's remarkable start to the 2023 season ended at this stage of the season

Red Bull's development woes date back to a flawed upgrade package in Spain 2023 as well that saw Sergio Perez fall off. #motorsport
