Bored of all the #trump nonsense. Tomorrow we're meeting with some of the pioneers who fought to overturn the racist bar on hiring black and asian workers on the buses in Bristol in 1963 helping to pave the way for the 1965 race relations act. #joinaunion #unite

"To deal with Trump, the UK has to show it's stronger and has alternatives."

Ed Davey explains why he's calling for the UK to establish a new customs union with the EU
Can Ed Davey end a "conspiracy of silence" about the reality of Brexit?
Liberal Democrats’ leader Ed Davey has called for a new customs union deal with the EU, saying it would “turbocharge” the economy, and give the UK more leverage when dealing with President Trump.

A useful article by the BBC on Elon Musk and his interventions on child sexual abuse. Produced by the Verify, rather than the news arm, and currently situated fairly low down on the BBC News site... A report like this should be given prominence, considering how Musk's claims led the UK's news agenda
How Elon Musk seized on baseless memo claim to create wave of misinformation
The X owner shared false claims that a Home Office memo urged police not to intervene in child grooming cases.

Because every smart right winger in the world knows that neoliberal economics don’t win elections.

Their ultimate aim is corporate welfare for big business, tax cuts for the rich, and the crushing of unionists and protestors.

But they can’t say that out loud.

The only way the right can win state power is to acknowledge the deep suffering that has been created by decades of rising inequality, and blame this suffering on some ‘other’ - migrants, criminals, deviants etc.

That othering is, of course, the prerequisite for fascism.

If Labour want to get their message across on their terms, then why are they neglecting YouTube, one of the biggest, and not even having a coherent strategy on the others?

"We want to get our message across to people on our terms, where they are... As long as the PM is happy with us continuing to post on X, I'll happily do so".
