I agree. It's more about wondering if they were trying to pass off AI video as reality.

There are other angles so I guess I'll take your word for it until I get the time to review it on a desktop. There's a heated debate on this in every comment section.

If you pull a John Fetterman, I'll never look at heat pumps quite the same way.

Responding to imagined arguments with premeditated gotchas and only reading the 1st sentence is how public discourse on the social media works.
January 28, 2026 at 12:24 PM
But then the question becomes who enforces it? You'd need a police like task force working with INS which is exactly what ICE used to be.
January 27, 2026 at 6:24 PM
ICE needs to be replaced. Literally no one at ICE today should be in its replacement. Entirely new workforce.

Other countries have ICE equivalents, it's necessary and not pretty, but recent immigrants who commit violent crimes should face the possibility of deportation.

A became B. A is irrelevant
January 27, 2026 at 5:32 PM
It doesn't, but it does show ICE is fundamentally different. We used to hold them accountable, immigration arrests were for undocumented who had criminal records and it needed to be vetted by a judge beforehand.

Now we have lawless heavily armed and lightly trained masked men occupying cities
January 27, 2026 at 5:31 PM
Most deportations now are of people with no criminal record. This is not "greatly expanded", it's a fundamental shift. And that's not even including ICE arresting (and killing) US citizens.

We can have discourse like this when we don't have a giant paramilitary force occupying cities.

ICE today is nothing like it was even just last year. It's something like 60%+ new hires with a budget that exploded
January 27, 2026 at 4:50 PM
This is more about politics in general. Remember when Republican meant fiscally conservative and small government. Now it's a mix of billionaire and far right interests under authoritarian rule.

I agree Democrats have always been too broad of a scope from limousine liberals to democratic socialist
January 27, 2026 at 4:46 PM
I disagree, Obama was the "deporter in chief" and it was absolutely nothing like what's going on today. Trump's ICE has exploded in funding and is actively being used a (poorly trained) paramilitary

Much cheaper to do double duty with the batteries you have already then use new ones. The charging tech is minimal compared to buying an additional EV sized battery

Electric school buses can strengthen the grid with V2G and California should lead the way with this. It's already been done at a smaller scale in some towns. A V2G bus can feed the grid during peak demand times (ie 5-9pm) then slow charge overnight when demand is low.
December 9, 2025 at 10:52 PM
It's possible for a town to use their electric school bus batteries to strengthen their electric grid. This could really help with summer brown outs or power outages where school is not in session anyway.
