A couple more pics from Bookworm Gardens, as well as my son feeding his army of bluegills at Quarry Beach. Final pic is the Reaper seasoned chicken from Dave's Hot Chicken that caused me to tap out halfway through.

Visited some family in Sheboygan last weekend and absolutelyloved the city. We went to Bookworm Gardens, which had some amazing horticultural work and fun displays all based on classic children's literature. The amount of work that goes into that place is mind-boggling.

We didn't get to sightsee much yesterday, but our evening meal at BB's Lawnside BBQ was full of local character. We go to listen to live blues music while having our delicious BBQ. Honestly, it was a much more relaxed meal than at Joe's, and my only complaint is they were out of can koozies.

Had some more great food in Kansas City yesterday. We first went to Cafe Corazon for a late breakfast of some Argentinian empanadas, the best doughnut I've ever had, and this amazing Brasilian-style cheese bread that was like mochi.

Followed the late, great Anthony Bourdain's advice and checked out Joe's BBQ in Kansas City. Well worth the wait!

Last weekend I visited a super fun bookstore that specializes in weird fiction.
Bought the first Conan story, and I can't wait to read it. If you're in the St. Paul area, check out Other Skies!

Made lefse breakfast burritos for me and the boy this morning. Culinary fusion made in heaven.

This might be the earliest I've gotten the tree up and had all the gifts purchased/wrapped.

Took a kokedama class with the fiancée last weekend. Very fun, very chill, very forgiving. This little guy is a hoya carnosa compacta, and apparently, its blooms smell like Tootsie Rolls?

Still looking for the right place to hang them, so for now, they keep Leonardo company.
