Just a 15min walk from the Auckland Airport domestic terminal there is a little wetland. It turns out there is pāteke there. The most fantastic and threatened little brown duck.

Neat things I have seen in the last two weeks.
1. Takahē, to be fair I see them almost every day but still
2. Kakaruai/SI robin nest
3. Aihuka/SI lichen moth (sadly deceased)
4. A native pee hanging out on tīkumu one of our native daisies
