A hierarchy is a system where people or groups are ranked based on status or authority. Whether they’re based on gender, race, wealth, or caste, coercive hierarchies establish the social order of whose lives and voices matter most. Hierarchies divide us and pit us against each other. Think about how you rank people in terms of importance. How can you be less hierarchical?

G is for graffiti Graffiti can be a lot of things: etching, marker, paint, pen; drawings, writing; legal, not; radical, conservative. Graffiti can be used for good or bad purposes. Radical graffiti is used to target oppressive systems, spread progressive messages, and encourage others to act. Leave your mark where you can!

F is for Food Not Bombs Food Not Bombs is an international movement made of local chapters that “redistribute” food that would otherwise go to waste. Volunteers partner with stores, bakeries, and restaurants to collect food before it’s theown away. Chapters donate the supplies to food banks, deliver it to people directly, or cool the food and serve it for free to whoever wants a meal. FNB is illegal in some places, as is feeding homeless people. Of course, whats legal is rarely what’s moral. Foodnotbombs.net for more info

E is for Emma Goldman Emma Goldman was an anarchist and activist who dedicated her life to anti-capitalism and personal liberty. She educated women on birth control when it was illegal, decried Zionism, and opposed the draft. Emma also spoke out in support of her LGBT comrades in the late 1800s, an act almost unheard of then. Emma fought for a better world despite sexism, antisemitism, and anti-communist prejudices.

D is for de-arresting De-arresting is illegal so you definitely shouldn’t do it. 😇 The Underground Railroad is an example of de-arresting, as was freeing people from concentration camps. Text: Definitely don’t do this to any cybertrucks/swasticars in your area. If cybertrucks start getting targeted across the country it might make insurers less willing to cover them and that would mean a hit to sales 😞 It also might force the sad men who own these things to get a new car and stop driving their wannabe-Mad Max toy. Either way, this will make Musky and his fanboys sad so definitely don’t do it. Also definitely don’t look for spray paint online or, if you have to buy it, don’t buy it with cash. Copwatch was started by the Black Panthers. It brings activists together to monitor and record police inter- actions with the goal of deterring police violence. Recording cops is legal and important! There are apps you can download (CopWatch and MobileJustice are 2) or use your phone’s video feature. Look for a CopWatch group near you.
