I picked this cassette up while walking around downtown on Saturday and it sounds great! Into the Mystic holds such a special place in my heart, so it’s nice to have its album that I can carry around wherever I go!

Shadow Days is one of my favorites off the album and has gotten me through some difficult times. I’m excited that this is the second to last vinyl I need to complete his record discography!

Born and Raised is an important album in his career because it is a vast departure from him previous work. This album shows a level of maturity and introspection that Continuum and Battle Studies doesn’t show.

I held a weird standard where modern music could never live up to the era of rock music of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. John Mayer was the first modern artist whose music caught my attention because of his amazing guitar playing.

I have a large soft spot for John Mayer’s music. When I was little and just starting to play guitar, I grew up listening to classic rock radio stations with my dad. Artists like Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, and SRV who are absolutely virtuosic at electric guitar.
