I can't even begin to describe how good this book was. It's long (almost 450 pages +200 pages of notes & citations), but it is CAPTIVATING.
I came away w/ a new understanding of Congolese history, Belgian colonialism, & US interventionism that helped contextualize the ongoing genocide in the DRC.

I can't even begin to describe how good this book was. It's long (almost 450 pages +200 pages of notes & citations), but it is CAPTIVATING.
I came away w/ a new understanding of Congolese history, Belgian colonialism, & US interventionism that helped contextualize the ongoing genocide in the DRC.
