If I were to cut off my arms and blind myself, or otherwise force myself into a state where evil actions are impossible for me, does that suddenly make me one of the best people in the world? If not, then doesn’t it imply that my mental state is actually more important for morality than my actions?

I like doing this too! But there's something about being brain-foggy and yawning during prayer that feels disrespectful, so I try to spend some time waking up with coffee first.

Unfortunately this also means less privacy too; definitely a trade-off!
