Final Girl is a so good!!!!! its core systems are rock solid, but it really shines when you start messing with the “feature films” modules, keeping every game fresh and unique. the fact they manage to balance it all so well is a massive achievement

Under Falling Skies is an absolute triumph of perfectly tuned mechanics. it’s space invaders with XCOM base management, which is already a hell of a pitch.
but every single game comes down to the wire. every win happens just in the nick of time, every loss can be traced back to a crucial mistake
