my poor Gubby is dying :( she doesn’t seem to be in any distress but basically everything in her body is fucked up. I hope it’s very clear when she’s ready to go, I don’t want to have to make that choice for her. This sucks so bad.

we’ve always had mourning doves by my house but last year a stray cat killed and delivered one to me for feeding her (got her spayed + adopted shortly after) and seeing the single mourning dove without its mate made me so ridiculously sad
