Hey everyone! Between being sick, having bad reactions to meds, dealing with my fathers sudden and unexpected passing, and trying to figure out my direction for this year I haven’t been active here. I’m going to try and use it as a behind the scenes sorta artist blog though so 🤷🏼‍♀️ #update

Wow I can’t believe it’s been over a month since I was active on here. So much has happened! It feels like it’s been a lot longer than that!

Seconds after adjusting and working with my new tripod I found out it won’t work for how I need it so I’ll be returning it tomorrow 😅 #fail

I should really try and use this as a blog more so that’s what I’ll try and do. Going to think of it as a bit of a diary! #blog

Work in progress! It’s about 68% done, still need to work the arm and add some color in the flesh of the eye and some color in the bubbles reflections.

I did this piece back with my 2020 surreal collection. About being consumed by obligatory hospitality. 18”x24” acrylic on canvas. #honey

This piece is acrylic paint, 32”x32” on hand stretched canvas. It’s about struggling to communicate or having “words stuck”. Done in 2020. #mouth

I had so much fun making this piece and enjoy the different interpretations of it. What does it make you think of? Done in 2020, Charcoal on paper, 40”x30”. #charcoal

This piece was my first large scale work and still remains to be my biggest art piece. It’s oil on a 48”x40.5” handmade wood panel. I did this back in 2012 and parts of it I didn’t finish but decided to leave that way. At the time I was experimenting with composition, color, and size. #kiss

This was the first symbolic surreal art piece I did that really started me thinking about surreal art and how I can use it. It’s a charcoal drawing on paper, 42”x23” done back in 2015. Titled “If I could Talk about it” #weird

Another one of my original pieces from my surreal series! This one is called Weed Out, it’s on hand stretched canvas, acrylic and is 18”x24” in size. I had a lot of fun playing with pops of color in this series. #surreal

This is usually a favorite during art fairs and gallery shows. It’s been a while since I had it out. I did this piece as part of my surreal line of work back in 2020. The inspiration behind this concept was talking to people about their schizophrenia and how it felt for them. #surreal
