Although construction began in 1996 the Visby-class clearly reflects an "out-of-the-box" design philosophy. Its approach to stealth, combining low RCS, minimal IR signature and visibility, alongside its exceptional surface and ASW capabilities, set a global benchmark for littoral combatants.

I rarely share photos of ships outside the context of news or analysis, but while working on the Visby-class corvette, I couldn't help but admire the remarkable engineering behind its design — and I felt compelled to share it.

Excellent photo of the mast lineup of the first Reis-class (Type-214TN) submarine, TCG Pirireis.

The photo was taken during a naval parade conducted by the Turkish Submarine Fleet to commemorate martyrs lost their lives at TCG Dumlupınar, which sunk in Çanakkale Strait on 4 April 1953.

I had the privilege of speaking at the Littoral Combat Seminar organized by IFRI in Paris.

I shared my experiences, observations, and insights on littoral warfare and multi-domain ops, with particular emphasis on the Baltic and South China Seas, as well as the naval dimensions of the 🇷🇺-🇺🇦 war.
