Thinking about how community organizing is often the little things. I run a trivia game on Wednesdays and I make a point to talk to people afterwards. Every week I talk about leftist issues and every week people agree. The movement is out here. They just need to know that we’re supported.

(🧵1/22) I have been very worried seeing the trend of right wing influencers and pundits becoming increasingly pro-extermination of trans folks (and other demographics of course, but as it happens trans is the one that impacts me the most).

Yeah sure violence is bad, but when the person killed is responsible and advocating for immense violence against others, the action is morally defensible at the very least

I think often about how in the Before Times I was so quick to be comfortable with nudity and exposure to pretty much anyone. Adding trans-tinted lenses to these memories, I think it was because my intimacy felt fake

The way my cisgender friends that I’m out to are trying so hard to be supportive, but just end up infantilizing my experience by assuming I know nothing, offering to teach me things, and praising me for doing something “girl” as if they didn’t expect it just feels bad.

Sometimes I remember hosting a zoom reading party of the My Immortal fanfic freshman year of college (yes, it was a Covid year) and realizing that the seemingly “bad” writing makes a lot more sense when read phonetically with a Scottish accent
