I think a lot could be achieved with windfall taxes.

I’m only a relatively recent immigrant (2014), but my impression is that 50% of voters are reliably centre to left (with about 10% who swing rightward and the same equation for centre right). The room on the actual left is probably only 20% max, between Greens and TPM.
