sketching is far more powerful and goes a long way to getting better as an artist long term, save the time consuming stuff for certain pictures only.

after realising something i was doing wrong for the past year, made a decision to focus more or less just sketching for the foreseeable future. lined and shaded work will be far rarer for a long while.

not really too surprised my lace pic didnt get much attention
the issue i think is her design just doesnt look that interesting as a round and the fully spherical shape without any interesting pose just made it not really stand out
no matter the next one will be way more interesting

here is a bonus to that hornet pic, decided lace needed to be turned round especially with how irritating she was in game!

it's been a while. this time it's hornet from that obscure (500k players pfftt thats nothing) game hollow knight silksong. been obsessed with it and also hornet, so i just had to draw her with a lovely round figure.
shes a bit self conscious about her figure, she shouldnt be though.

one of my personal philosophies when it comes to drawing inflated characters (just my personal way of doing things please dont think i believe everyone needs to do this) is that i tend to channel "pregnancy" (smoothness and the nice perfect look) rather than fatness (lumpy and imperfect).
